****** A Chrismas Fairytale(he came riding on a storm) ******
by tcarriela
Summary
Prompt : Jungkook is a lonely vampire who lives in a huge castle by
himself because his family had once lived there and they were all
dead.. He couldn't bring himself to leave just yet, even though many,
many years has passed. (He has caught up to modern time, though,
     thanks to his friend Taehyung)
Jimin, who has ran away from something or is just simply lost in the
forest in the middle of a snow storm, finds the castle.
Jimin meets jungkook and is allowed to stay, but he has to feed
jungkook while he's there, because jungkook hasn't drank blood in a
     long time.
     smut please!!!
Notes
First of all I want to say I really liked the prompt and tried my
best to write it as well as I could? I am still not really fully
content with it but i guess it is readable? lol.
Also I am sorry I could not add more smut. I really wanted to and I
actually wrote a couple of pages but decided it really did not suit
the story line, so took it out. Forgive me? I also could only mention
     Taehyung like once sorry.
But I hope you still enjoy it nonetheless! I wish you and everyone a
happy new year and lots of snow!(we don't have it in my city so im
     salty)

**Italics for thoughts and past time but I believe it is clear.
Also in the first part I purposely used 'them' referring to Jimin.
“It was a very cold winter day when they came along.
The whole town was covered in white like a maiden’s wedding dress. And the snow
ruled everywhere. However cold it was, people were kind and warm, like a
reminder for the harsh winter to be a little more merciful to those who were
cold and homeless. Only a couple of weeks left for Christmas, the snow had been
accepting and only peacefully quiet, waiting patiently for its time to be truly
cherished.
However, this fragile peace made between did not last for long.
One day people woke up to a different winter, one harsher than ever known
before. There was a strong breeze that stole the breath from lungs and left
just as quickly, with a whistle sounding like a laugh, and the snow marching on
helpless as the wind was getting stronger with cold each breath it stole. Then
people were powerless, held prisoners in their own homes. They could only pray
for those who could not find a hiding place from this monster’s childish games.
And there were some.
Some people who did not have a home; some since forever and some maybe since
just yesterday. There was a particular someone who had been cursed to play this
game always in bad roles. Always during this time a very bad thing would happen
to this unlucky person. Always a different thing. But always enough to move the
strings of the fate to play for them a beautiful yet sad song. It was that time
of the year again and this time the curse had been too harsh, forced them to
leave the only place they ever known to enter an unknown world with creatures
they had never seen or known existed before. Creatures that only existed in
fairy tales.
They had left without a goodbye, with bad people chasing them as the role given
to those by this cold-blooded ruler. Our human runs away, there is something
these people want from them, something they never had and never will. It is
something very precious and beautiful; doesn’t shine in the hands dirtied with
blood. But (if) only the person had it, would give it without hesitation, for
the blood that is shed not to be theirs.
So they run away, leaving their home behind, getting far away without notice
and entering the world unknown to their kind. The strong wind follows them
closely, erasing their traces from the hunters behind but also the way of
returning back.
It was getting dark and there was a light ahead hardly seen from the flying
snow and ice, and it was only getting harder to breath; with the fire inside
them so weak. It was the only place they could hide in, from the chase of cold
and the hunters. They hardly made it to the big wooden door. Everything was a
blur in the harsh storm with the snow but not because of it only. They were
tired and weak, the only two knocks they had managed to give not strong enough
to be heard from the howls of the wind. “Please. Is there anyone?...Help me…”
Their mind was dizzy but they didn’t hear the storm outside anymore. Their
conscious was slipping away. It was when the doors opened with a loud crack,
the light coming from inside was the only thing they blurryly saw before they
dropped lifelessly onto the ground.
Little did they know, this doorstep the fate dropped them off to so
effortlessly as if a snowflake,
was the home of the creature.”
There is a light pounding on the door, so weak that it should have been non-
existent to ears in this storm. It would have been, if not for the man’s
sensitive ones. He was quiet rudely thrown out of his mind palace, the sweet
voice in his head lulling him so that he almost lost the sound to the roaring
storm. Leaving the window, he quickly made it to where the sound came from.
Could it be a wounded animal like the last year he could not take them in this
time, but he still wanted to know. In this kind of a storm what creature could
be that unlucky to be away from their home? It could not be his friend who was
probably with his family right now, safe and sound and never thinking of
leaving home.
It was not him, nor was it a wounded animal. There on his doorstep was a human
being he had never seen before; a small body lying lifeless on the icy floor.
The smell of blood was the thing he noticed shortly after; coming from the boy.
It was so strong for him to handle after so long he had last smelt it. So much
so that for a second he even thought of closing the door and leaving him
outside, to the cold winter to take back what it harshly stole. This was a
temptation he could not effort. Yet, that blood on his face, and that beautiful
face of his…could not be lend to the hands of the white, however beautiful it
would look on his pale skin.
He took the body in his arms, shutting the cold outside and ending its powerful
ruling. He then climbed the stairs back to the same big room, and carefully
laid the boy on the enormous bed. The skin he could feel was ice cold, already
kissed a thousand times by the winter outside. Freeing the breath he had been
holding, he went to light up the fireplace he rarely ever used.
The fire was slowly filling up the cold room with its hot breath, and there was
nothing more he could do other than to wait for the man to wake up. He walked
to the window, and while looking at the storm outside, he held his breath one
more time. A different kind of fire than in the room was filling up his lungs.
White everything outside, red was all he saw. The sweet voice from before
sounded warning now, the story forgotten. It is what he holds on to; ringing
distantly in his head.
Then the room was on fire.
*

When the man wakes up, the first thing he notices is the paralyzing pain
throbbing in his head lie an invisible force was trying to crush his skull into
dust with its iron grip. It was obvious he had hurt himself, possibly had hit
his head really hard to be in this much pain, yet he didn’t know how. He
couldn’t remember how it could have occurred. Maybe someone had hit him.
His hand went to feel the damage but was met with a bandage on the right side
to the back of his skull. Someone hit him and then treated to his wound? It was
very surprising for the small male who was not used to acts of kindness people
would show him. It was just so rare.
Then he hesitantly took in the furniture he could see. From the burning
fireplace and two wine velvet armchairs in front to the beautiful carpet
decorated with red roses dropped elegantly on the grey floor and the huge bed
he was currently sitting on, basically everything in the room could be
considered antique, yet were very well-kept and beautiful. This decor was
probably what made him relax as it was giving him a vibe of wrinkled elder
couples and home-made cookies, not muscular bad guys or murderers. With the
king sized bed he was sitting on, this was with no doubt someone’s bedroom.
His skull continued to throb painfully and constantly going on and off like a
siren, as his stomach was twisting with the new found fear that he had no idea
where this was, or why he was here at all. All he remembered was the cold, yet
the room was so warm it was making his palms sweaty on the soft sheets he was
grasping; but then again maybe it was because he was feeling like throwing up.
He shivered as cold sweat rolled down his back and his brain helpfully provided
him with the images of what his conscious apparently wanted to not remember.
The last thing he could recall before waking up here was a dim yellow light.
And the cold, the pain he felt forever and the feeling of helplessness… The
relief of finally being able to let go; the end of life, end of pain. He felt
the tears building up and his lungs burning with the need for more air, but it
was not the time to be weak now. Get yourself together, no more crying.

“I see that you are awake.”
He jumped and his heart jumped with him from the unexpected sound coming from
his right side; the door. There stood a tall man dressed in all blacks; his
clothes surprisingly rather modern for the room décor he seemed to prefer. He
looked around his early 20s, with dark eyes of a thousand years. The smaller
male shivered bodily despite the fire in the room when his gaze met the
stranger’s coal black ones, suddenly remembering the cold that had led him
here.
“I found you last night. On my door step.” The man explained probably seeing
the lack of response and the confusion that was surely smeared all over his
face. “You were wounded.”
He didn’t move from his spot, or even moved his small lips while talking. His
whole body looked stiff as if he wasn’t breathing. His eyes were strictly
unblinking, the fire they possessed steeping into the smaller man he was
looking at. He was not in danger. He was not captured. He felt his eyes water
as he tried to hide the crazed look he could feel taking over his features;
tears with a huge smile.
“Are you…okay?” the man sounded hesitant and wary like he was a little child
who lost his parents at an amusement park and he did not want to scare him, or
make him cry. Jimin could only nod in reply, slowly lifting his head up.
“I…t-thank you…for taking me in…” he found his voice sounded strange for a
second to his own ears; rough and low, like it was not really his.
“Jungkook.” Maybe it was only his imagination that he sounded uncomfortable
this time, as if he was sharing a secret he did not want to let go of.
Hesitant.
“Y-yeah… I am Jimin. N-nice to meet you.” Jimin guessed a name could be a
pretty special thing; after all it was a part of you. You wouldn’t tell it to
bad people.
“I-I am really grateful for y-your help.”
And he was. He tried to show it on his face with a smile he knew was not real
or wide enough to be considered something more than a grimace, but he hoped it
was enough for now. He could feel his cheeks burning him for the awkwardness he
always radiated and disturbed people with, but forced himself to not look away
or duck his head. The man blinked this time, looking surprised for a second
with slightly widened eyes before he averted his gaze to the enormous window on
the other side of the room. He slowly walked over there, his face now
successfully hidden from the nervous male on the bed.
There was an uncomfortable silence where Jimin did not know what to do and felt
the need to fill it, yet he was unable to open his mouth. He tried to think
over what he had done or said that made the other turn away from him. Finally
it was the man who ended his misery.
“How is your head?”
“I-It’s fine.” Jimin subconsciously lifted his hand to feel the bandage
carefully wrapped around the wound. He tried really hard not to blush more
after hearing the thoughtful question. “Thank you for that…also.”
He fixed some unruly hair absentmindedly, his eyes never leaving the man’s
broad back.
He felt more than heard the man sigh as if he just gave the wrong answer. Jimin
was feeling more and more nervous each silent second. He could see if only he
let himself, what the man was so focused on, yet did not know why someone would
enjoy doing it. Outside, the storm was still raging on. The men he was running
away from were also probably out there somewhere. His heart raced wildly in his
chest and head throbbing to the same crazy beat, as he thought of what was
going to happen now. He could not know if the men had given up on the chase or
if they found a place to stay for the time being. And as soon as he takes a
step out of here-
“Why were you out last night, Jimin?”
Jimin inhaled a deep breath as his lungs finally forced him to break out of his
trace.
“I…” His heart felt like it could burst out of his skull any moment, and the
icy cold sweat was back on his skin as if he never got out of that terrible
storm last night and was still asleep. The question was so sudden and at the
same time not unexpected at all. Of course the man would want to know what kind
of a person he took in his home. “I d-don’t r-remember.”
But Jimin could not tell him. He didn’t know how to. He didn’t want the man to
throw him out after hearing the story. Even with his head bowed down, looking
at the sheets crumpled up in his fists through blurry eyes, he could feel the
man looking at him with those eyes of him that seemed to seep through skin and
bones. Leaving him naked and feeling stupid as he knew he never was a good liar
to begin with. If only he was, maybe he would not be here; hurt and lost and so
very helpless. Could have avoided many other things too. If only he was.
He wants to talk. He wants to tell him what had happened. Wants to tell him he
remembers but doesn’t want to, he wants to forget. I just want it to be over he
wants to say, maybe ask for help. That would be what is logical, that would be
what people normally would do. He knew those all, he was not stupid, yet
instead all he could do was stand there and try not to make a sound as his face
was suddenly wet, the tears like waterfalls down both his cheeks, looking down;
trying to hide it and failing miserably as choked up sobs he could not keep in
left his trembling lips.
“Jimin?” he hears the man ask. It was his name. It was him. Whom was worthless
and weak.
The sobs found their way out of his mouth without his permission, filling up
the otherwise silent room. It was the first time his name sounded so gentle to
his ears. Almost beautiful. Almost… enough. Nothing like he heard before.
“W-wha- A-are you…crying?” a hesitant step sounded on the floor, towards him,
but then stopped short. This only made the smaller male cry harder. Crying
because he was embarrassed, he was being troublesome and weak; annoying. Yet
these past couple of days had been more than he could take, it seems.
“W-why are you crying? Does…d-does your head hurt a l-lot?”
The man sounded panicked now, like Jimin was a crying baby he wanted to hush.
He forced himself to stop crying he really did, he knew it does not help, does
not change anything but annoy the man who took in and helped someone like him.
Yet it took a couple of very long seconds where the man stood there not knowing
what to do, or why the small male was crying so suddenly. When his sobs died
out he wiped away the salty tears with the sleeves of his sweater as best as he
could.
“C-can I use the b-bathroom?” he said in a murmur, the embarrassment of crying
in front of a kind stranger coming crashing in.
“O-of course.” The man’s relief could be heard from his voice. “It is the first
left.”
Jimin clumsily dropped his lifeless legs to the cold stone ground. He could not
really trust himself to make it to the bathroom at this stage. He was more
shaken up then he thought he was. So he hit his head, but was there more? He
was strangely unsteady as he tried to stand up with his hands never leaving the
mattress as a support.
With the first shaky step he took however, he lost his balance. Everything span
before he knew he was going to hit his head again but there were suddenly hands
wrapping up around his wrists, hindering his possibly to be painful fall. The
touch felt ice cold, flawless white skin looking like marbles shaped delicately
to look like human limbs, and yet he could feel how strong these hands were and
what they were capable of doing. He slowly raised his head, letting out the
breath he had held as his body was preparing for the fall that never came.
The man assisted him as they slowly crossed the room to reach the door. Jimin
blushed a bright red as the skin they touched tingled with the burning coldness
the man had on his warm skin. He could feel the man stiffen even more beside
him as his blood cheered in his veins; his own heart beat loud to his ears. And
it was not even an intimate touch.
When they reached the door however, he was the one to stop them abruptly. He
just stood there with his mouth open as he took in the scene in front of him.
This house was a lot bigger than he would have expected. The stone walls rose
higher and higher that seemed like forever, to join at a pointy ceiling. He
felt small as he felt like shrinking. Along the corridor he could see a number
of doors that led to a stone stairwell along the bare walls, curling downward
for forever like a snake. To him it all was undeniably alien.
What kind of a house was this?
“It is a castle.”
He was startled by the voice next to him. He almost forgot about the man who
was no longer holding him, instead leaning into the door frame with his arms
crossed. Jimin turned back to see his face from much closer this time and it
was mesmerizing. His pale skin was flawless as his black doe eyes stared down
at him with so much fire that Jimin was finding it hard to turn his gaze away.
His soft looking raven hair was parted in half and one part was falling over
his right eye. However only one thing tainted this perfect beauty were the dark
circles he had under his beautiful eyes as if he had not gotten enough sleep or
was sick.
“Wait- what?”
“A castle.”
The man repeated slowly this time, like he thought Jimin could not understand
what he had heard because he never heard the word before. Or like it was
obviously normal for a twenty something man to be living in a castle. Now,
Jimin didn’t know much about castles and he had never seen one except from the
pictures of a few children’s book, but he knew it was not an everyday thing,
was it?
“A-are you joking?” He needed to ask, the man’s face certainly did not look
like he was but it was the only logical explanation he could think of.
“No.” The man tilted his head to the side as if he was trying to understand why
Jimin would accuse it of him. “Why would I?” He certainly sounded curious too.
It was kind of cute.
“B-because-“ Jimin left the sentence unfinished, waiting for the man to crack a
smile and tell him off. Just because. Because it was not normal to live in a
castle right? Only in fairytales there were castles the kings and queens would
live in. Those were always his favorite as a child, so he knew well. But the
man only continued to search his face with questions.
His eyes seemed to lose its sharpness at one point and became somewhat
unfocused, roaming slowly around the smaller male’s increasingly reddening
face.
“I-is there something on my face?”
Jimin should look terrible now, he just cried like a baby after all.
“N-no.” The man quickly looked down and Jimin tried not to feel sad for not
being able to see his eyes.
“A-are you…are you a p-prince?” Jimin whispered expectantly after an
uncomfortable silence, as if he was sharing a secret.
“W-what?” the man raised his head with widened eyes and Jimin was mesmerized by
the sudden look of innocence and youth he found on this pale face he thought
looked so sad and tired to be this young. He really did not like seeing this
beautiful man looking so lonely and cold, like he was not here in this warm
room with him but outside cold in the storm.
Jimin held his breath while he waited for the reply, his teeth nervously biting
on his lower lip.
“No. No I am not.” The man could not help but give a small bunny smile at the
clear look of hope on the smaller’s face. And all Jimin could do was to open
his eyes even wider than the man did seconds ago. He never imagined a smile
could be this cute.
“W-what?” he sounded insecure and the smile dropped from the man’s lips as
quickly as it came and Jimin almost whimpered in protest.
“Y-you smiled.” He dumbly stated the obvious.
The doe eyes looking at him widened once again as big as saucers. And they
probably looked quite stupid right now looking at each other with the same
shocked expression on their faces. It was not Jimin who looked away once again
and slowly made his way back to the window he stood in front of earlier. Jimin
was left once again to look at his receding back and feeling stupid for not
knowing whatever wrong thing he had said or done. Like always he must have said
something weird to make it awkward. He never learned how to act around
strangers.
Deciding it was the best to disappear from sight he slowly walked over to the
door he assumed was of the bathroom. It was, like everything he had seen so
far, so familiar yet so different than the only normal he knew. Everything had
this feel of antique, from the creamy tiles to the wooden wardrobes carved with
beautiful designs. The enormous tub looked like it could fit a dozen of people
inside; it was empty with a color slowly fading to yellow. The only house he
had seen all his life had been his own house which was so little and old to
have any of the luxury or beauty he had seen here.
Thinking of home made him depressed. There was a time it would not be the case,
there was a time he could call it ‘home’ and ‘his’, ‘theirs’. But not since a
long time. Not since his mother was gone.
He found the weird looking sink and finally managed to turn on the tap after a
couple of tries. He washed his face with the cold water, leaning into the sink.
He tried to avoid two things while he was inside there; raising his head and
seeing his reflection staring at him, and looking towards to huge window where
he knew what was waiting for him.
A sick ugly face and a bandaged head. And an ugly phantom of nightmare.
When he carefully got back into the room on now steadier feet, he found the
other man where he left him in front of the window. Jimin lowered his gaze as
he felt scared to look at what the man was facing so carelessly because he knew
what he would remember. Goose bumps rising all over.
He did not know what to say. Hopefully his stomach made the decision for him.
The man turned around quickly at the weird sound and Jimin felt his ears burn
with shame as he held his stomach like he was trying to close its mouth. Yet
another rumbling was heard as he ducked his head further in embarrassment with
the second blow.
Soft and cautious steps echoed on the hard floor until the man came to stop in
front of him. Jimin really did not want to lift his head.
“I-I am sorry. You must be hungry.” The man sounded upset and Jimin felt even
worse for causing it. “I…don’t have much at home. B-but we can take a look.”
Together they took the stairs and entered a huge kitchen where Jimin could see
lots of new kitchen ware he did not know of before. They even had a huge
storage room full of canned and dry food like pastries and salted meat of any
kind. Jimin felt like he was in a five star restaurant.
Jimin ate in silence as the man said he was not hungry and just watched him
stuff his red cheeks with rice and meat and of course with the embarrassment of
being watched.
He could not help but steal a few glances when the man seemed to be thinking of
something with his eyebrows furrowed and lips slightly pursed in a thoughtful
way. It was strange how safe he had felt with a stranger he knew for minutes.
He somehow knew the man was not a bad person; he was kind and maybe a little
strange but not in a bad way.
Yet there was something about him that made Jimin look closer than just his
beautiful face and kind voice. He was almost sure that it was the eyes; they
looked so full of secrets and maybe even a couple of past life times as they
were so beautiful yet so sad at the same time. Old eyes. He did not know
someone so beautiful could look this sad and tired. Jimin thought he was still
beautiful, as they made eye contact and he was caught staring.
Maybe even more so.
After he finished they took the same road back to the room, and this time Jimin
could not help but look around even more to see someone else other than them in
this seemingly huge castle.
“Is there no one home? I-I couldn’t see anyone.”
He found it was impossible to not ask this question and he was now feeling
better after the nice meal, his mind working again.
The man seemed to take a second before answering. His eyes drifted to the same
window he was seemingly connected to somehow, looking out there like he could
see something Jimin could not see. Like the storm was actually comforting him,
grounding him.
“No, there isn’t.”
“Then where are they?”
Jimin rose from the bed slightly to see his face better. He didn’t like the
added sadness he had found.
“I live alone.” It was so light but Jimin still caught it. Not believing what
he heard.
“I-In this huge place? Where are your parents then?” Jimin asked
disbelievingly, why someone would live in a castle all by themselves he could
not phantom. Maybe the parents were on a trip or something.
The man stayed silent for a second as Jimin felt repeatedly that he had asked a
question he should not have asked. But it was too late to take it back now.
“You should rest now.” The man said instead as he slowly made his way to the
door. But Jimin did not want that. He did not want the man sad or angry because
of him. He did not want him to go, and to be alone.
“J-Jungkook!” He almost shouted. The man stopped before the doorway but did not
turn around so Jimin couldn’t see his face. “-shii…” Jimin felt like slapping
himself for this absurd outburst.
“C-can you…s-stay h-here?” whispered the last part. His tiny hands fisted in
the silky sheets underneath his fingertips as he bit his lips harshly to stop
from saying more. Something like I am afraid, please don’t leave me. I don’t
want to be alone.

No it would be too embarrassing and hilarious to utter to a stranger you just
met. It would be too meaningless. Yet he wondered if it was because the fear of
what he had been through before drifting here and almost dying along the
process, or that he strangely felt this connection with this sad, beautiful
stranger that he had never felt with another human being before.
He never asked for help form anyone before, no matter what he had been through.
And he had been though a lot. It was not something to be proud of he knew, and
it was not because of his pride either. It was his only strength.
It was scary.
He had laid himself out there and was afraid of rejection as always, yet the
man did not say a thing. He walked back inside the room to seat himself on the
beautiful armchair that was right next to the roaring fireplace and watched as
Jimin got under the covers more to hide himself than to be able to sleep. His
heart was still beating furiously as he closed his eyes. It was not hard to
ignore the roar outside this place when he knew he was not alone. It was not
hard to do it since he was sore all over and really needed a good rest to
recover. Yet he could not help but think of the saddened eyes when he had asked
about his parents, and could not help but wonder if they were somewhere else
right now that he could not see or reach. No one alive could. He felt so bad
for asking.
The man waited to hear the slowing heart beats of the man in his bed, then he
got up and once more stood in front of the window to look at the white outside.
The storm was raging on without a stop and it reflected the chaos in his mind
as he could not see anything else that he knew was actually out there like they
should be. He was not sure when this was all over and he could see again if
they would be still waiting for him, or if this storm was enough to wipe out
everything he had ever knew and held dear. He wondered if he was strong enough.
He could not hear the fire roaring in the fireplace he himself lighted up. Nor
the whistles of the wicked storm outside. All he could hear was the soft heart
beats of the small male he had lying on his bed sheets and his light but steady
breathing. In and out. Very much alive.
His head was full of these sounds and he could not hear the sweet voice
anymore, or the song that always managed to calm him down. He didn’t try to.
Everything was out of control.
*
When he woke up, it was with a fire in his belly. Apart from the spice his food
had today, something much more powerful and intimate was consuming his whole
body. He was lying on his back like before, the covers kicked aside. His whole
body was on fire, clothes feeling too much to bear. He wanted them off. His
skin felt like it was on fire, he wanted something-someone to put it out.
Water he thought, he needed water. He shakily reached the night stand with a
full glass, and drank without breath but it was no use. It did nothing to put
out the fire he had felt in his lungs and throat and deep inside his belly,
couldn’t even taste the water on his tongue. He was panting by now, his hands
reaching to tug at the collar of his sweater. His pulse wild, heart secretly
crawled up to his neck. Cold sweat was breaking on his skin, his body trying to
cool down but failing. His hands had a mind of their own now, like they were
someone else’s, trailing down his abdomen. And without notice reaching the hem
of his pants. He didn’t understand it then. He was confused. Did he have a
fever? Why his hand was where it was?
He squeezed his eyes tightly as his finger brushed against his throbbing
erection through his pants. His legs separating further on their own. All he
could do was to pant as the fingers slipped past his boxers and finally touched
his aching cock. His touch felt cold; good. He didn’t know how loud he was
then, he didn’t want to. But a moan was out at the incredible feeling as
pleasure exploded in between his legs. Back arching off the bed as he found a
steady rhythm; hips pushed off the bed to meet his tugs. The fire not stopping,
but travelling down. Down his chest, belly and thighs. His whole-body jerked
harshly as he thumbed at his slit, precum already leaking down his tight hold.
He suddenly felt a phantom touch at his entrance, eyes flying open as he felt
his orgasm hit him. Hard. Muscles tightening up impossibly, his legs strung
open like a bow that’s ready to shoot.
He could not breathe for a second. There were tears in his eyes, the orgasm
shaking up his whole body to leave behind a quivering mess. The fire was still
alive. All he could do was to whimper and talk breathlessly into the dark. Not
even knowing what he was saying, yet he knew he was begging, begging for
something. As he came down from his high, the fire slowly cooling down and his
mind slowly starting to function once again, he wondered if he ever got what he
was asking for, begging for.
For a second he could swear, he saw a spark of red in the dark of the room
watching him. Then he passed out for the second time that day.
*
Jimin woke up to the sunlight hitting his face and was tempted to turn around
and just sleep five more minutes. What really woke him up however was the weird
feeling in his pants as he tried shifting his position. His eyes jumped open as
he remembered as to why he was in this uncomfortable state. He wanted to slap
himself in the face for having a wet dream in a complete stranger’s house,
someone who was kind enough to help him. He should have known better. Did he
have no shame?
His cheeks burned until he could no longer feel them and the embarrassment of
what he had done in a stranger’s bed poured down on him like a bucket of ice.
It was more than enough to wake him up and after he made sure he was alone he
awkwardly made his way to the bathroom. He washed his face even if it was not
needed to wake him up anymore and pinched his numb cheeks even redder for
punishment. He felt weirdly giggly as if what he had done was anything more
than embarrassing and wrong.
It was not. If the man ever found out he would get punished and even thrown out
for being so disgusting. He rushed to clean the mess in his boxers as best as
he could and tried not to leave any traces the man could find.
When he came back he realized the sun pouring out the window for the first time
since he got here and got the courage to take a closer look. He could see the
green forest that he had came from not only two days ago. He still remembered
the bite of the cold and his tired legs as he held on with dear life to these
thick trees. He still remembered the cold. Yet what he saw was nothing like he
had remembered. The snow was peacefully covering everything it touched and to
the right of the forest he could notice small houses sprinkled messily around
each other with smoke coming out of their chimneys. The sun peaking behind the
thick branches and playing around the snow.
It was breathtakingly beautiful.
He stood there for a little more as he did nothing but watch the small
snowflakes drift past his view every once in a while.
Someone cleared their throat behind his back and Jimin turned around to see
Jungkook standing next to the door, his hands in his pockets.
“D-do you want breakfast?” Jimin nodded happily and smiled so wide his eyes
disappeared.
As he was eating Jungkook asked him how his head was.
“Ah, It’s okay. A lot better now.” Jimin beamed at him, happy that the man was
worried about him enough to ask this. His head didn’t feel swollen anymore, the
pain was almost gone. “T-thanks to you…” He mumbled as he shied away.
The man’s dark eyes were much more intense today as he stared unblinkingly at
the blushing man in front of him. Jimin felt a little too hot under the collar
if he had to admit.
“B-but are you okay? You seem ill…” There were even darker circles than
yesterday around his pretty doe eyes. His skin also seemed paler than yesterday
like he couldn’t sleep well last night. Jimin was convinced that he was
seriously ill.
“I am fine.” The man replied in a deep, husky voice and it was enough to shake
Jimin up as he suddenly remembered of his own night and very inappropriate
dream.
He believed if he could, his head would burst off with steam and air coming out
of his ears and nostrils like a train signaling for takeoff. He could manage a
curt nod in response, trying to will away the sudden interest in his boxers
that were still damp from washing it to erase the evidence this morning.
Jungkook did nothing to help him as Jimin could feel two coal eyes burning
right through his skull. His skin was burning up like the man had set him up in
fire with just a stare. It was last night all over again.
“I-I s-saw the s-storm has c-cleared out.” He desperately searched for a way
out, a distraction. He could not take his eyes away from the man’s dark dark
ones filled with fire. And Jimin was burning.
He knew he sounded out of breath as if he was being chased, and maybe he was.
It left an explosive rush of adrenaline that felt like rain after a dry season
in his raw veins. His heart was beating his ribcage bruised and it seemed he
had no blood left in his veins anymore as he could feel it filling up every
molecule of his skin a deep red as if he just scrubbed hard at it. His hands
stopped in air with the knife and fork tightly gripped until his knuckles were
surfacing. And it was all from just three words the man had said.
“Jimin.”
Hearing his name in this husky voice that tasted like cherries and chocolate
against his tongue… Sour and sweet at the same time. It was too much for him to
take. He took a sudden breath as he could feel himself tremble with a sudden
need to let himself go as he tipped is head back and-
“Y-you should leave.” Jungkook almost hissed through clenched teeth, and broke
the eye contact. The sound was so wild that Jimin could taste the juice as he
swallowed and swallowed, the sour taste exploding on his tongue as he struggled
to not whimper. He felt hungry as if he did not just eat a mountain of food. He
felt hungry for something else he could not name. His dark irises eating out
the light brown of his eyes, until there was nothing pure of him was left.
You should leave.
“A-ah…y-yeah.” The words finally reached his dizzy brain. He tried forcing
himself to think, blinking several times to get past the nice smelling smoke in
his mind that made everything look blurry and dream-like where he had no fears
or troubles. Where there was no pain and only pleasure.
He had to leave of course; he could not stay in a dream forever, he knew that.
He was feeling better and the storm was over, there was no reason not to go. Of
course. So why was he tearing up?
Suddenly they were interrupted with a loud banging echoing in the empty space
of the castle. One minute Jimin was talking to the man, the next he was alone.
When he had come to his senses he took the stairs as well. His naked feet were
leaving unpleasant slapping sounds on the cold floor as his legs clumsily
carried him down. He could almost taste the frown on his mouth as the bad taste
was quickly spreading. The ominous bangs were getting louder and louder,
harsher. His heart was restlessly beating to the powerful echoes of it in the
empty space. Someone was trying to get in.
Before he came to the end of the stairs though, he stopped. His legs were
unable to take another step. He could see from where he was Jungkook slowly
opening the big gate, as if he was not shaken up like Jimin was from their
conversation seconds ago. The bangs stopped only for a male voice to be heard.
And the cold air proudly seeped in.
“Hey- it opened!” the voice was rough and mocking, the kind that leaves you
uncomfortable without a reason. Sinister.
“What? Could you break it?” another one, this time sounded older. His rough,
throatily voice sounded bored to death; like he didn’t care about anything at
all. Another feeling that was good enough to lead to bad things if the person
was wrong-minded, Jimin thought. Dirty. And wicked.
“Yeah, I guess-“
Jimin’s blood froze in his veins, just like it had been two night ago, when he
first heard these voices. He knew who they were. He knew it well.
“Hey, there is a dude.” The younger one corrected himself, sounding oddly
amused. As if it was a joke. As if it didn’t matter at all.
“What?” the older man asked, still far away so he couldn’t hear well.
“There is someone inside!” the man had to shout back to be heard.
“Who are you and why are you in my property?”
Jimin heard Jungkook’s voice ask with a pissed off tone underneath it. His
familiar, rightful voice brought him back to his senses. Making sure he could
not be seen, he proceeded to listen carefully with the fear eating up his
insides slowly and painfully. They were definitely looking for him and would
surely ask about him. Jimin had been stupid to think they had given up and
would let him be. What would he do if Jungkook told them he was here? The men
were shouting enough for him to not be heard but he was afraid of even
breathing; his shaking hands automatically holding his mouth, as he
made himself as small as possible.
“Your property?” the man laughed, entertained beyond measure. “Boy, aren’t you
a little too young to own such a place?”
His words were clearly a challenge; mocking. Jimin could see in his head, a
twisted smirk tugging on that equally ugly face of his.
“What do you want?” Jungkook seemed to ignore the annoying question, wanting to
end this quickly. The other man didn’t answer immediately, probably sizing
Jungkook up, his small eyes of a bug’s daring to look at the beautiful man
looking up at him. He was deciding if he should take him seriously.
Jungkook’s eyes were beautiful. He was shorter by a few inches, it was true,
but looked impressively build up for his age and his shoulders were broader.
Jimin hated the man for even daring to look at Jungkook in the eye. Somehow it
felt like touching a painting with muddy hands. It felt like an insult and
Jimin could throw up any minute from the nerves.
“We are looking for a boy not very older than you. With brown hair.”
Jimin closed his eyes tightly, daring to breathe deeply into his palm, because
God knew he needed it. His tired eyes were stinging with tears he was holding
back, just like his throat he could feel filling up with salty water; drowning.
“We lost him around here two days ago.” The bossy voice added.
There were a few seconds where Jimin could hear nothing. His mind was going
viral; helpfully thrusting in front of his eyes very colorful and very vivid
images of ten different and each equally terrifying scenario of what could
possibly go wrong right now.
“Why do you look for him?” Jungkook asked carefully as if he was trying to hide
his curiosity. Jimin was sure Jungkook was going to expose him after hearing
the answer.
“Why? Let’s say he took something from us. Something very important. And we
want it back.”
The venom in the voice chilled Jimin’s skin as he man all but hissed, all the
hair on his body standing on point.
“What is it to you?” he now sounded suspicious, as if his sensitive nose caught
the smell of something rotten.
To say Jimin was terrified would be an understatement; this was where he would
die, no doubt. He felt the tears fall off his eyes, his heart stopping
painfully. He didn’t know such pain existed. This was it. Mom, I am coming to
your side. At least he would not be alone anymore.
It was over. It was almost beautiful, how he still wanted to live, like life
was something to love living for. For him it never was, never had been. Life
and winter had brought him nothing but pain and loneliness. Therefore he was
breathless when he realized it, that he wanted to live. No matter how much it
hurt and how lonely he was, he still wanted to hold on. He closed his eyes as
he thought of the beautiful snow from the window this morning and his mother’s
smiling face-
“Nothing, just curious.” Jungkook calmly answered, bringing Jimin’s heart back
to life with a kick start as his eyes snapped open. It couldn’t be- “I didn’t
see any boy.”
Jimin couldn’t believe his ears. He didn’t want to. Shouldn’t. His lungs were
expanding in his chest with the new found ability to breathe once again as if
the holes he could feel that oozed air were forever gone. The tears were
falling down his cheeks freely now, the feeling warm; nice.
“Now please get out of my property.” Jungkook said please but Jimin could hear
the spark of danger underneath his tone. However it seemed the other man
didn’t.
“Don’t you start this trash with me, boy. You broke into here. It is not your
god damn property.” the man sounded angry now, outrageous.
Jimin felt his tired heart do a flip in chest for the tenth time today. But
this time it wasn’t for his own safety. He was afraid for Jungkook. What if the
men did something to him? Jungkook didn’t stand a chance with them.
“Yes, it is.” Jungkook rumbled lowly. “Now, before I call the police and ask
for them to make you…” Jimin felt a shiver run down to his toes at the
commanding tone. “Get. Out- of. my property.”
His skin strangely flared hot when he heard the growl in the man’s voice.
Pausing after each word voiced dangerously through clenched teeth. But it was
not like when the other man asked about him. His legs went weak at the power it
possessed; and he soundlessly dropped on his butt.
The other man should have felt this too because a few seconds of tense silence
later, Jimin could hear the footsteps getting more and more distant; until the
big doors closed with a noise and left the castle in silence yet again like
things never had occurred. Jimin was lost, his body a bungle of mixed emotions,
not knowing what to feel. He was out of breath as if ran a marathon, his heart
beating a mile in his tight chest. He sat there as soft footsteps he knew
belonged to a certain handsome man echoed and echoed unrushed like a wild
animal approaching its cornered prey. Yet he couldn’t move, his legs were still
weak and not listening to him. And as the steps stopped, and he rose his head
to look at the man not very far from him looking down on him with eyes that
always managed to make him question his own sanity, he wondered something. He
wondered if it was because of fear or something else, that he couldn’t move. At
all. He was simply paralyzed.
Caught.
*
“Will you explain what that was about?” asked Jungkook with a cold voice. Jimin
could only look down at his feet.
He knew he could not escape from answering the man’s questions anymore, yet he
seemed to be stuck. They were in the room where all of this has started and
Jimin could feel himself strangely connect to this habitat on an almost
spiritual level as absurd as it sounded.
Jungkook let out a sigh that made Jimin wince inwardly from the strain it had
in it.
“Who were those men, Jimin?” he asked with a softer voice this time.
It was the second time he called him by his name. Maybe third. But why was
Jimin counting again? Even as the thought of lying crossed his mind again, he
couldn’t get himself to do it. The man in front of him deserved better.
“They are my f-father’s…de-debtees.” He whispered with shame dripping down the
last word.
He had felt relieved when the man had protected him and did not expose him to
the bad men earlier but now he was not so sure. After hearing the story
Jungkook would surely ask him to leave, not as kindly as he did like this
morning either. He would be disgusted for taking someone like him in and giving
them his bed. And Jimin was tired of people giving up on him.
“And why are they looking for you? Where is your father?”
“He is…I-I don’t know.”
Jimin held on to the sheets under his fingers that he had memorized well by
now. The color, the texture, the warmth. He knew it all. He tried to hold on to
something as what little comfort he had found when he woke up here and met the
mysterious man was slipping from his fingers like melted ice. He couldn’t do
anything right. And he still wanted to hold on, still wanted to live this
miserable life he led. What was the use? When he was this weak and could not
change anything. Could not stop the pain. What was there to keep fighting for?
He wished Jungkook had sold him out to those men. It would have been easier
than seeing his disappointed face.
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
Jungkook sounded puzzled as he asked blatantly. And Jimin did not mean to shout
at him. He just simply exploded.
“I just don’t know okay?!”
He snarled as he felt the cooling tears falling down his heated cheeks.
Jungkook did not say anything; if anything he looked shocked from the sudden
outburst.
“I-I…” Jimin’s eyes widened when he realized what he had done. “I-I am sorry-“
He was stupid, stupid, stupid! And he was going to be lent to the men like a
Christmas gift any second now, when the shock would clear out from the man’s
face and an angry scowl would take its place. “I-I am so sorry. I-I will leave
n-now. I will-” Please don’t hurt me.
But Jungkook did not hit or shout back at him for his disrespect as he had
expected. He watched the emotions carefully on the smaller male’s face. Jimin
was a mess as he sat there curling down on himself as he tried to make himself
smaller as if he was waiting for a hit. Jungkook assumed the man was just shy
and a little scared to be talking to a stranger when first they met. But now he
could see there was more than that. It hurt his hardened heart to see him like
this; crying and scared. He was beautiful when he smiled. It was with his eyes,
nose and lips.
“Where did he go?” Jimin blinked once, twice and slowly lifted his head from
its hiding position. Jungkook looked strangely calm. And Jimin could not
believe he was not anything but angry.
“W-what?” he forced his voice to work. Apparently the hit was not coming any
time soon.
“Your father. Did he leave you?” Jungkook asked as if he knew. He just knew.
Jimin was slowly feeling more and more secure. Jungkook wasn’t mad. He
understood.
“Y-yes.” Jimin looked down as he still found it hard to believe that there was
a person this kind on earth. He felt ashamed for thinking even for a second
that Jungkook would hit him, or do anything to hurt him. The man had been
nothing but kind and caring towards him as no one has ever been and he was
excusing him of being like others. For a little while, he let himself relax. He
let himself hope.
It was inevitable as he told Jungkook everything. He told him that his dad has
fled the country leaving Jimin with a huge amount of debt as he claimed to the
men that his son had his mother’s diamond necklace buried at their garden. When
Jimin oblivious to any of these, woke up in the morning his father was nowhere
to be found and there was a huge hole on their garden land. Jimin as not stupid
he tied two and two together and when he saw the man approaching from the tiny
kitchen window he fled quickly from the back door. This was how he somehow
found himself in the middle of the snowstorm that had dropped him off here.
Jungkook had listened to the whole story without interrupting him or asking any
questions. His face stayed very much blank and Jimin was finding it hard to not
fidget under the scorching gaze. He had never talked this much to someone in
his life. Let alone telling them something so personal.
When he finished, Jimin knew that there was so much to ask and the man had
every right to ask all those questions. So he bared himself even if it would
hurt. However Jungkook was silent. And Jimin once again got the feeling that he
did not have to ask. He simply knew. He just knew. For that he was grateful as
much as he felt defenseless and naked in front of him.
“Thank you.” He said and Jimin was sure he heard wrong.
Why was the man thanking him? He should be the one thanking him. He couldn’t
thank him enough for what he had done for him. When he opened his mouth though,
he was cut off.
“I live here alone.” Jungkook said looking away from him, but he did not seem
upset. He just looked tired as he rubbed at his eyes. “Ever since my parents
died…three months ago.” Jimin held his breath as he knew this was personal.
Jungkook let out a humorless laugh that was nothing more than just breath.
“I guess I just couldn’t make myself leave.”
There was a long full minute where none of them said anything but looked out
the window where they could see the snowflakes slowly falling down, as if
flying home. It was comfortable. Jimin almost asked him then: But, aren’t you
alone? But didn’t. He already knew the answer. He now knew Jungkook a little
better. And it made him happier than he could have phantom.
They didn’t know how much longer they just sat there near each other on that
bed, but eventually Jungkook said he needed to use the bathroom. Jimin got up a
little after he left and tried not to dance around the room much. He could not
stay still as he felt bold enough to walk around and touch random furniture he
had not dared to until now. Everything felt alive, like they had seen so much,
knew so much; but that was the thing with old objects he thought.
That’s how his naked foot hit the box he had found underneath the armchair
Jungkook was seated on the day before. He kneeled down to take the dusty box
out and his eyes opened with joy when he saw what was inside.
Well, it was Christmas after all.
Minutes later he was proudly looking at his handiwork as he put his hands on
his hips with a smile tugging on his lips. The window now was framed
beautifully with the yellow fairy lights he had found inside the box. He was
surprised to find a plug hidden behind the armchair as well, but was happy none
the less. He turned back the box to see if there were any other ornaments he
could hang, then he saw it. There underneath some papers that looked a lot like
old letters there was a picture frame. He took it out carefully and found two
very familiar eyes staring back at him. It was a black and white picture of a
very beautiful woman. She was in a fluffy dress that did not look from this
century and was smiling warmly as if she could see him. Jimin felt a small
smile tug at his own mouth and decided to place the frame on the wooden stand
on top of the fireplace. Her eyes seemingly following him.
There was a thud right outside the room and Jimin snapped his head to see
Jungkook sitting down on the floor as he held tightly on to the doorway.
“J-jungkook!” he rushed to his side in a heartbeat, and helped him to stand up.
“W-what is this? Are you ill?” his voice raised worriedly.
He looked worse since this morning but Jimin totally forgot to ask him again
after all the things had happened. He felt so bad for not taking care of him.
He just hoped it wasn’t something serious.
“J-Jimin…” They slowly made their way to bed but Jungkook was still trying to
tell him something.
“Jimin-you should go.” Jimin looked at his face when he was finally lied down
and felt himself hurt physically as he saw the ashen skin. He was trembling all
over as if he was having a seizure, and his body...his body was cold as dead.
“I- Jungkook w-what’s going on?” he felt the panic rise as his eyes filled up.
His hands were trying lightly touching the man to feel up any injuries. He
looked so bad. He looked like he was already dead. How could he not notice,
how-
“Ji-jimin. Listen to me.” Jungkook panted as he grabbed his wrist, and Jimin’s
terrified ones fell on his eyes. They were red. Jimin blinked the tears away to
clear his vision. Jungkook was looking like he was dying and his eyes were
crimson red. He wanted to pinch himself to wake up. He felt toyed with as he
was given something for the first time in his life and it was being taken away
so quickly, harshly.
“J-jungkook. What’s going on- Y-your eyes.” He whisper-shouted. His hands
trembled in the sick man’s weak hold. He was okay. He was fine just minutes
ago.
“Jimin…listen. I need you to l-leave, okay?” Jungkook was still holding his
wrist as he tried to squeeze it assuringly, but his body was very weak.
He struggled to breathe as it was getting harder and harder to do so. Ever
since he took Jimin in the gradually increasing pain he had gotten used to for
the last three months got worse and worse. But this was the climax, his body
was at its limit. The pain he felt now indescribable as he felt the scorching
fire starting to travel from the tip of his toes and leaving only ashes at
where it had passed. He was thrown in an invisible fire and all he could do was
to not scream as he let out a growl. Jimin was still freaking out by his side.
“Leave!” he barked. Jimin's small body jumped at the sound but did not make a
move to leave his side.
“N-no! Tell me what’s going on.” Jungkook wanted nothing more than to pull him
in to cage him inside his arms. “J-jungkook please.” He could hear the tears in
his voice.
Damn, he thought, I made him cry again. He let himself look one more time at
the sobbing man next to him. Even when he was crying he was beautiful. He
wouldn't mind dying like this. How cheesy. Jeon Jungkook, get yourself
together.
“J-jimin.” He tried to raise his voice more than a whisper. He was a mess. What
was this? What an embarrassing way to die.
“I am a vampire.”
He had said these words a thousand times before, he assumed. However, never
with this much sadness and shame.
When Jungkook was younger, he was a bastard. He would constantly revolt against
his parents when they tried to explain him how being a vampire did not mean
being superior to people. But Jungkook was too proud to consider himself equal
to the human race that was nothing but weak. He was too young and foolish as he
never made friends at the school and gave the stinky eye to everyone who dare
approach him.
Humans hated them, uttering their names always with a certain disgust mixed
with fear. To them they were monsters, cursed creatures.
He hated them. He hated hiding who he was and living in the shadows. People
always said he was so full of himself, always looking down on everyone like
they just weren’t worth his time. And it was true. He did not know when this
mindset changed exactly or why or how. But when he was able to see the people
for whom they were; yes, they were weak. They would lie and steal and fight and
do things so irrational that he just could not understand why they would even
bother. These all he knew. But then he saw their tears when he first seen the
bullied boy who was sitting in front of him in middle school crying in the
filthy bathrooms. He saw their pain and their art. He saw them die one by one.
And he didn’t know how he hadn’t realized. Or when he would listen to his
mother quietly singing about love and remember the human fairy tales she would
read him as a kid. Tales with creatures like him, the only place they could
freely exist.
Then he was ashamed of his mistakes and never said “I am a vampire!” proudly as
he had felt it was his life of a hundred years that had no meaning after all,
not humans’. Definitely not people like Jimin who deserved to live more than
anyone.
“W-what?” Jimin felt out of balance from the unexpected blow in his stomach.
“Jungkook…It is not the time for j-jokes.” He twisted his small face in a weak
attempt to look angry but failed miserably as Jungkook could see from his face
that he understood. The picture, the pale skin of the other, the castle, the
red eyes… Everything.
“Y-you are right.” Jungkook tried to ignore the pain, physical and emotional.
“You should go.” He turned his head to the other side, letting the hand go only
now. After asking him to leave many times already. He felt his own eyes water
at the image of the other’s broken eyes and scolded himself for being this
emotional. But one’s own death could do that to them, he guessed. It was almost
funny and made him laugh at how eager he was to die before Jimin showed up at
his door step on that faithful night. Now the jokes were on him, yet he really
didn’t feel like laughing at all.
He heard Jimin walking to the door with hesitant steps and focused his eyes on
the woman he could see smiling at him. He never believed in life after death
but figured he could be foolish enough to hope for one night.
The pain was still melting him and he knew it would not take much longer. This
was what he wanted, what he had been waiting for those cold, lonely months.
Jimin’s scent only helped quicken the pace.
“A-are you…really a v-vampire?” He turned his head to the unexpected sound, he
thought Jimin had left. But there he was standing by the door, looking shaken
and scared; his tears were still damp against his chubby cheeks. But he was
still there. Jungkook slowly nodded his head.
Jimin took slow but less hesitant steps as he once again stood where he was.
“W-what can I do?”
Jugkook was speechless as he looked at his shaken up state.
“Jimin no-“
“Jungkook.”
He looked stern as he said it; there was a new fire in his eyes. And Jungkook
had thought there was nothing more left of him to burn anymore.
“You need my b-blood right?”
His Jiminie was so brave standing there looking down at him, not backing down,
not running away from what he was.
And Jungkook knew he had been through so much, however still, it was his
doorstep out of all the places Jimin had been dropped off to. What a cruel fate
it was. For the both of them, but especially for Jimin who had been hurt more
than enough already. He had a monster falling for him.
The bed shifted at the added weight as Jimin was climbing on top of Jungkook’s
body, hands supporting his weight at each side of his face.
“Ji-“ Jimin looked into his red eyes without fear now. His smell was even
stronger this close and Jungkook was done for. He never stood a chance. He
tried to resist, but his fangs were aching to be buried on soft flesh after so,
so long. Jimin’s eyes widened when he saw the two long fangs poking out proudly
between his ashen lips. So it was confirmed, he was really a vampire.
“-Jimin please.” Jungkook pleaded with the last drop of his sanity.
He did not know however if he was begging him to let go or to get closer. He
helplessly watched with flaring red eyes as Jimin tipped his head to the side
and moved his neck closer and closer to his lips and sharp teeth against it.
Jimin could feel the cold breath of the other hitting his sensitive skin as it
was really close to touching, and suddenly-
He blinked up at the painting man on top of him as their eyes connected for the
briefest second where he gave a barely there nod of encouragement. He braced
himself as the man dipped his head and cold lips touched sensitive skin.
Jimin expected the sharp pain he felt as Jungkook’s fangs pierced through, he
welcomed it. What he was not prepared for was the feeling of epic pleasure as
he felt Jungkook suck at the wound shortly after. Fireworks exploded behinds
his closed eyelids, as his shaking hands found the equally trembling arms of
the other unseeingly.
The sun was already gone and the yellow fairy lights were the main source of
light in the dim bedroom with the fireplace still glowing red. Jimin held on as
Jungkook drank and drank, his mind was swimming in pleasure as legs opened up
to welcome the male between them. His mouth was wide open in a soundless moan
as his grip travelled up the man’s broad shoulders to tangle in his raven
curls, his nails leaving red marks where they had passed. His whole body was on
fire and he had never felt this good in his life. All he could feel was
pleasure, everywhere. He wanted more; he craved for even more of something he
did not know what. The hunger he had felt was back as if it had never really
left and Jimin was losing his mind.
On a particularly hard suck he was moaning shamelessly, his toes curled as he
was suddenly furious. He could not control his body as he tugged at the hair in
his grip sharply. All Jungkook did was to moan with his mouth never leaving the
abused skin of his neck. He was sucking harder and Jimin wanted him closer. His
legs lifted to the narrow waist of the man on top to wrap around it
tightly, trying to get closer. And they were falling down as Jungkook could not
carry both of their weights.
“J-jungkook!” Jimin screamed as their bodies fitted against each other snugly,
the only barrier between naked skin was their sweater and jeans. To Jimin it
felt like prison as their awakened cocks rubbed against each other; causing him
to arch his back off the bed from overdrive.
“T-touch me please. Oh g-god-"
He choked out as his eyes rolled back in his head. It was not his voice he
heard, it sounded nothing like him. It was needy and raspy and he had no
control over what came out of his mouth whatsoever the second Jungkook’s teeth
had touched his neck. Jungkook answered his pleas with a wild trust of his hips
and Jimin was a goner. He could hardly feel the man’s hands roam over his body
as his cock jumped from where it was trapped in his boxers. He was so hard
already and Jungkook’s thrust were only getting rougher. As he could feel the
hardness sliding along his own, he knew he was not the only one.
Little moans were slipping from the plump lips of the smaller male with every
push and pull the other gave. He was no longer here as he had left this world
for a while.
Jungkook pulled his fangs out from the skin and licked the wound until the two
little holes were covered enough to not bleed. Jimin looked so beautiful
underneath him with his hair tossed all over the satin sheets and mouth open
from pleasure. He waited for him to open his beautiful eyes and meet his gaze
while holding his breath. His pupils were blown so wide that Jungkook could not
see his irises.
They looked at each other for a while, both trying to catch their breath.
Jungkook could feel the blood he had drank rushing through his veins and heard
the clumsy few pumps as his heart was starting to beat again like a miracle.
The pain was gone and the wonderful feeling of touching and tasting Jimin was
all he could think of. His mind was full of him; his sweet moans and tiny hands
tugging on his hair, his sweet blood on his tongue… Everything was Jimin.
“J-jungkook?” Jimin found that their brief but intense eye contact was enough
to help him sober up at least a little to stop begging. He turned beet red when
he realized the position they were in for the first time. Yet there still was a
voice in the back of his head telling him to let go for tonight and just pull
the man back towards him. He did not know who or what it was, but he had an
idea.
“W-what is t-this?”
“I-It is the bite.” Now Jungkook’s cheeks were also tinted pinkish as he took
in Jimin’s embarrassed but clearly aroused expression. He looked so sexy all
lost to the pleasure. He wanted to see more. He wanted to hear and taste and
feel much more. He wanted to make him lose his mind with how good Jungkook was
making him feel. He wanted to give as much as, and much more than he had taken
from him.
But he did not want to scare him.
Jimin looked so sinfully wrecked, as he was looking up at him through lust
filled eyes, and Jungkook knew how he must be feeling. Their bite was supposed
to work this way, to please their giver with the pheromones it had left on them
so that the process was easier; for both the vampires and their feeders. There
was a reason that the vampires were viewed as sexy creatures by many humans
after all.
“Don’t worry. I will take care of you.” he smiled warmly at him.
Jimin did not understand how he was going to take care of him but he trusted
the man, so he only nodded his head. His cock was already painful in his pants
and he just wanted some release. He felt a tug on his sweater and looked
alarmingly at Jungkook who only smiled and assured him it was okay. When both
of their clothes were thrown somewhere around the room without a care, he
couldn’t help his eyes wondering over the hard plains of Jungkook’s body, his
strong arms, full chest and rock hard abs… It was true he felt a little soberer
now but what he was seeing still was enough to feed up the fire under his skin,
and make his hands itch with the urge to touch and touch everywhere he could
and could not see.
“Jiminie.. Can I kiss you?”
Jimin froze looking at the man in front of him like a deer in headlights.
Jungkook wanted to coo at his adorableness but also wanted to kiss him now,
only if Jimin would let him. It was plain obvious the smaller man wasn’t
expecting this question, and Jungkook almost felt bad for asking. But he was
not afraid of being a selfish person when he wanted something this much.
Jimin was not paralyzed with fear this time, no. It was hope that had knocked
his poor heart out of his chest. Jungkook wanted to kiss him. Looking up to the
man with his stars in his eyes, he held his breath and nodded.
Their lips smashed against each other as they slowly but surely melted into the
kiss. They moaned loudly in unison as if now they were complete, only with
this. It was numbingly intimate and special as their lips fitted against each
other like two destined pieces of puzzle. Jimin’s lips were so pillowy and hot
against his and Jungkook could not help but open up to lick and nip at them
until they were even more puffy and shiny from their shared spits. Jimin let a
moan slip as their tongues danced against each other with the burning sensation
of this kiss of fire.
But it was not enough, it was never enough and Jungkook was weak as Jimin was
testing his self-control with his naughty hands suddenly everywhere; along his
back, his shoulders, neck... He had almost fallen face first on to the bed in
the haze of pulling his pants off, and when he finally managed it, he helped
Jimin get rid of his as well.
Jimin’s tiny hands were quick to try to covering his now naked erection, and
Jeon Jungkook was not amused.
“Don’t. You are beautiful.”
Jimin looked like he could pass out from the painful skin burn he had on his
melting cheeks, but did not try to stop Jungkook taking his hands away from his
crotch. Jungkook was really enjoying seeing him this happy and frustrated by
only a chessy compliment so he ignored being a little too hard on the poor man.
It was the truth after all.
He had never seen anything more beautiful.
Jungkook was quick to take both of them in his tight grip and bring them closer
and closer to release. He basked shamelessly in the beautiful moans of the
smaller male he had under him and had breathlessly stolen them from his open
lips. He had bathed in his sweet smell of cinnamon and sandalwood. And as they
together reached their explosive climax with each other’s names falling off of
their bruised lips, he had buried his fangs back on the soft skin of his neck
to double their pleasure.
*
It was around 10 in the morning when Jimin woke up to the blinding sun rays
coming from the window. He turned around to hide his face from the annoying
light and slowly opened his eyes. His first thought was that he still wanted to
sleep, he didn’t want to get up at all. The second was that there was a person
in his bed.
He flinched away from the very much naked body lying next to his, tangled just
like his in the silky red sheets. He recognized the raven locks as his heart
beating slowed down only to raise up again. It was just Jungkook. In his bed.
Naked. Nope not strange at all.
He buried his head into his pillow when he recalled the wild night they had
shared yesterday. His cheeks felt like they were going to fall off from how
wide he was smiling yet hitting them while scolding himself for saying that and
doing this. He really did not know how he was going to face the man now.
It was so embarrassing! He was totally eager last night and had lost all common
sense the minute the man'd touched him. He was so needy!
He let out a silent scream into his pillow before fearfully peaking out under
the sheets, hoping the other male was still asleep. His puffy cheeks were being
squished by the sheets wrapping around them as he looked like an adorable puppy
with his bed hair sticking out from hilarious directions.
The man’s back was turned on him and Jimin could not help but ogle at how the
flawless pale skin strung tight over the very much visible muscles. There was a
rustle in the sheets as these muscles flexed sexily and the said body was now
turning to face him.
Gah! Jimin closed his eyes so tightly in an attempt of faking sleep that he
could see white sparks flying underneath his lids. If he could think rationally
at that moment he would not stop breathing too.
“I know you are awake Jiminie.”
His eyes flung open at hearing the nickname from last night and found the raven
doe eyes staring up straight at his own bashfully. There was no trace of red in
them. They blinked at each other stupidly for a while before both of them
jumped out of the bed in an attempt to put some distance betwen and get away.
They took one look at each other and it was more than enough to send them
folding in on their stomachs as they laughed at how ridiculous the other looked
with bed hair and the clumsy attempts to cover up.
Jimin was glad the atmosphere was no longer awkward as they sat down in the
kitchen-after fully getting dressed of course- Jungkook insisted he finished
his full plate and talked about the things that had happened. Except for one
thing. Both were too shy and awkward to talk about what mattered the most, so
they roamed around the subject but never really facing it.
Jimin asked Jungkook about his biological age which was 21. Jungkook had to
refuse calling him Hyung just because he was having so much fun with the
other’s cute anger; as intimidating as a grumpy kitten. He also was curious
about how being a vampire worked of course. And Jungkook forced himself to not
cringe as Jimin asked him with huge bright eyes if he sparkled under sunlight,
if he could eat garlic and if by any chance his skin was made of some kind of
stone. He patiently told him all these were just stupid legends some very
imaginative people came up with over the years. But he had also told him he
stopped aging after hitting twenty one, and he was stronger and faster than any
human being.
Then they shifted to more serious questions.
“So why did you get like that?” Jimin asked.
Jungkook knew what he was referring to, struggled to find the right words for a
while.
“I didn’t…drink in a while.” He said truthfully in the end.
Jimin did not show any change in his expression. No pity or sadness.
“How long?” Jungkook bit his lip, this would definitely give him away now.
“Three months.”
“Jungkook is this-“
“I have lived for a hundred years Jimin.” Jungkook cut him off. “When you live
as long, you don’t really care about it ending.” Jungkook stubbornly stated, as
if it was not only the pure truth but also the only thing that mattered.
“Your parents died three months ago.”
He slightly flinched at the harsh truth he never had let himself say out loud
or even think about. But when he lifted his head, Jimin’s eyes were kind. It
was the complete opposite of the truth his words held. He was not judging him.
He was without pressure, waiting to hear him out.
“…After they were gone…” Jungkook tried his best as for now to talk about the
feelings he had buried for so long, he tried for Jimin. “there was just too
much space.”
He had been holding onto the memories as he waited and waited. And he knew what
he had to do. He was so blinded by the pain of losing them and oh god he was so
lonely on this huge castle all by himself. His only (human) friend Taehyung
would come over every once in a while to look after him as best as he could,
but it never filled up the emptiness he had felt. So he waited and waited, told
his friend to stop visiting and counted the days to his surrender. He was so
close, so very near to succeed when he had found Jimin that night on his
doorstep, and it was what pushed him even closer to it in the end.
He had finally tasted the unbearable pain he was waiting for so passionately
and if it weren’t for Jimin next to him now, he knew he would have completely
let go without looking back on this wild mad world.
Jimin did not ask how they died, nor did he push the matter to get him to talk
more about his feelings. He just sat there holding his hand in reassurance with
his calming presence. But then you have come, Jungkook added in his head.
“So I will not turn into a vampire, will I?” Jimin joked trying to lighten the
mood. Jungkook cracked a wicked smirk at his obvious effort.
“No Jiminie you won’t.”
“Y-yah! I am your hyung.” Jungkook pointed out he could see his cheeks dusted
with red at the nickname. And Jimin claimed it was from anger.
“How are you my hyung, I am hundred years old.”
Jimin took the responsibility of washing the dirty sheets and he did so with an
uncomfortable boner between his legs. He did not know Jungkook could hear his
adorable curses as he was blushing furiously during the process.
When he came back he could not find Jungkook in the room but this time he was
not worried about it. He sat down in front of the make-up table he now knew
belonged to Jungkook’s mother and he pulled at his collar to reveal the now
almost completely healed bite marks Jungkook’s fangs had left on his neck.. He
still was not over the embarrassment of getting dirty in his parents bed for
god’s sake. He felt so kinky it sent unpleasant shivers down his spine. He just
prayed they would forgive them and give it to their war of hormones or
something.
Said male was now right behind him as Jimin was startled for a second from the
sudden appearance. But he guessed he should get…used to it.
How pathetic Park Jimin. Pull yourself together; no one said anything about
staying. Or being in love or being together. They avoided those. Or maybe there
was nothing to talk about for the younger as it was just a onetime thing and
totally accrued out of their control. It hurt more than it should have to know
he had no right whatsoever; to be sad or mad.
The shiny necklace glowed in the morning sun as Jungkook lifted it to put it
over the beautiful neck of the man sitting in front of him. Whose eyes widened
as he looked at him through the mirror with curious eyes. He was so cute that
Jungkook wanted to squish his puffy cheeks, and kiss him stupid and never let
go.
“It was my mother’s.” Jungkook admired the diamond necklace the cute male was
carrying off so elegantly. This was one of his mother’s favorite with about
twenty small diamonds beatifully decorating it.
“I-it is beautiful.” Jimin blushed cutely when he saw it around his neck. Yet
he did not understand what the man was trying to do.
“I want to give this to those men.”
Jimin’s shy smiled was cut short as a look of horror took its place just as
quickly.
“What? No.”
“Jimin-“
“Jungkook it is your mother’s.” Jimin said with fire in his eyes, like he was
crazy for even suggesting something like this. He did not need his pity.
Jungkook could see him boiling under the skin as he looked away with his jaw
clenched hard. He knew he was definitely thinking Jungkook pitied him or wanted
to pay back for last night like it was something money could buy. It was all so
easy to read like an open book, the emotions crossing his face. Jungkook held
on to the small hope he let himself steal that maybe it was not nothing for him
either. Maybe it also meant him a lot what had happened last, and everything
else since they had met.
“Jimin let me explain. I don’t do this as a payback.” Jungkook pleaded.
He didn’t know if the man would listen to him or shut him out and try to leave.
“Then what is this? I don’t need your pity Jungkook.” Jimin said harshly as he
pushed the hands that held the necklace away from his neck.
Normally he would not dare to speak up like this towards anyone let alone a
vampire, but he was so hurt that he couldn’t care anymore.
“I-I don’t want you to run anymore.”
Jungkook followed as Jimin got up quickly and walked over to the window the
lights were still lighting up. It was now or never.
“I-“ You got this Jungkook, you got this. “I want you to…s-stay.” Even with the
embarrassing shuttering he hoped the message got across. His cheeks were
burning as it was Jimin’s blood now roaming in his veins and keeping him alive,
more alive than he had ever been. To say that he was scared would be an
understatement. He did not plan further than this step as for what he would do
if the man rejected him and-
“J-jungkook-“
Jimin asked as if he was afraid of what he had just heard or was afraid it did
not mean what he helplessly hoped it did.
“I..” a deep breath. “I want you to be m-mine.”
Jungkook felt his heart doing a flip in his chest and all his senses on alert
as he felt like he could pass out any second. His body was still not used to
all these human feelings, how could they do it? It was so embarrassing.I want
you to be mine? Jungkook? Really? Could you be more old fashioned. This is not
something people say in 21th century.
“Yes. Yes!”
Suddenly his arms were full of a certain Park Jimin as he threw himself onto
him bodily. And the poor Jungkook could not comprehend.
When Jimin realized it he let go of him just as quickly, if not more. He tried
to look as calm and collected as possible as he pretended to smooth the
invisible wrinkles on his clothes. A serious look on his face all the while. He
cleared his throat.
“I mean okay. Why not.” He said smoothly. And Jungkook was in love with him.
Together they had kissed sweetly which Jimin argued with red cheeks was their
first kiss as the other could not be counted and Jungkook reminded him cheekily
how eager he was for it last night, only to be hit lightly on the shoulder.
Then they had watched the snow covered hills and the soft flakes from the
window as if they had seen it for the first time.
“It is beautiful.”
Jungkook looked down at the open, beautiful and most importantly happy face of
the man that he had the privilege of holding the hand of proudly.
“Yes it is.”
It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

“And they lived happily ever after.”
The young woman closed the story book and smiled adoringly at the little boy
sleeping on his bed soundlessly. She turned off the bedside lamp and placed a
kiss on top of his soft raven locks before quietly leaving the room.
Her Jungkookie was surely growing up well.
